Modern Slavery Statement

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes SecCare+’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending on 31 March 2020.

This statement sets out the steps SecCare+ has taken, and will continue to take, to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking does not take place in our business or supply chain during the year ending 31 March 2020.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. SecCare+ has an approach of zero tolerance to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting with integrity and transparency in all our business dealings, and to put robust systems and controls in place, to guard against any form of modern slavery taking place within our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery guidance is embedded in our safeguarding policy and staff are expected to report concerns about slavery and human trafficking, and management are expected to act upon them, in accordance with policy.

We operate a robust recruitment policy to safeguard against modern slavery: this includes appropriate pre-employment checks on directly employed staff and also processes in place to audit sub-contractors. We offer fair pay rates and provide access to training and development opportunities. We operate a whistle blowing policy, so that all staff know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues and those who use our service are being treated.

Advice and training on modern slavery and human trafficking is available to staff through our safeguarding policy, procedures and training.
